How to Install Lineage OS 14 in Samsung Galaxy s5


(Here I am gonna show you for klte but you can also do for other versions as mentioned below)


Things you need:

Before you start:

Take care of following tasks before you proceed with flashing custom ROM:
  1. Install Usb Driver for your device on your PC.
  2. Make sure to Back up your data.
  3. Charge your phone above 50%
  4. Usb Debugging Should be enabled.
    (Settings>About Phone>  Tap 7-10 times on Build Number> Developer mode on> Go to Developers mode> Check USB debugging)


Steps:

  1. Download Odin from the link above
    It would look like this 
  2. Now download TWRP from the link above
    Download the twrp-3.1.0-0-klte.img.tar file which will be used by odin.
  3. Now open Odin and Select the AP button and Select the .tar file you just                       downloaded. 
  4.  Turn off your phone. Then Press the Volume Down+Home+Power button 
             Simultaneously to go into Download mode.
             There will be a warning screen. Ignore it and press Volume Up.
     Note: Make sure in Odin in the Options menu the Auto Reboot and F.Rest Time are 
                     checked and no other options are selected.
  5.  Connect your phone to the USB port.

    The ID:COM sign will turn blue.
  6.  Now Start the Flashing process. After it is done the Phone will restart automatically. 
    Turn off the phone again and this time press Power+Home+VolumeUp button simultaneously to go into recovery mode.
    This screen will appear:

    Note: If recovery isn't installed do the process again. If that doesn't help Uncheck the Auto Root option in Odin and start flashing. After that pull out the battery and then press Power+Home+Vol Up. It will continue the installation process.
  7. Now Download Lineage Os from the link above.
    In this Tutorial I am doing the process for Klte versions. You can also download Lineage for other versions too.
    For other versions of Galaxy S5 go here and scroll down to your version of phone :     https://download.lineageos.org
  8. Now Install the Gapps from the link above.
    Select the ARM(for S5) and Nano( for minimal google apps)
    and Download.
  9. Move these two files to your Phone's internal storage and Boot your phone into recovery mode( Power+Home+Vol Up)
  10. .
  11. Select Linage os file and start installing it.
    Your Phone will reboot into Lineage OS. Complete the step.
  12. After that Boot into recovery mode( Power+Home+Vol Up) and select the Gapps file and install Gapps.
